This policy explains what personal information Venusian Astro (“we”, “us”) collects through venusianastro.com and how we use it.
What we collect
- Birth details: the date, time and place of birth you enter. We use them to calculate your chart. For the free chart, they are kept in your own browser so you can come back to it, and are not saved on our servers.
- Email address: only if you choose to give it, for example to unlock your next turning point or to receive your report. We keep it with your rising sign, Moon sign and nakshatra so our emails can be relevant to your chart.
- Purchase details: if you buy a report, the birth details and name for that report, your email address and the payment status. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and never reach our servers.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
How we use it
We use this information to calculate and deliver your chart and report, send the emails you asked for, process payments and answer your questions. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Stripe: payment processing
- Brevo: our email list and email delivery
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim): when you type your birthplace, the place name is sent to OpenStreetMap's search service to find its location
We count visits with Matomo, an analytics tool we run on our own server. It works without cookies and records the pages you view, the link that brought you here, your browser type and your approximate location from your IP address. It is not shared with advertisers.
The Site itself runs on our own server. Each provider handles your information only to deliver its service.
Cookies and local storage
The Site stores your birth details and your chart settings in your browser's local storage so the chart is there when you return. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. You can clear this data at any time in your browser settings.
Your choices
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@venusianastro.com. We remove it except where we must keep records for payment, tax or legal reasons.
Retention and security
We keep your information while you are subscribed or a customer, and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes above. We protect it with encrypted connections and restricted access to our systems.
